Upon opening Designer Pro, it will open a blank A4 page. I want my invite to be A5 so I go to File, then Page Options and within the Page Size tab I select the A5 from the drop down list. Select the black diamond from the color line and drop it onto the page. Now drag in the Sky image from the Designs Gallery > Halloween folder and position it in the top of the page, with even spacing around it. Select the Transparency tool, hold down the Ctrl key and click drag from the bottom of the sky to the top -  holding the Ctrl key keeps the line vertical. The default transparency is linear. © Xara Group 2011
