Editing Card Templates in Photo & Graphic Designer or Designer Pro Hopefully you have noticed that there's a collection of templates in the Designs Gallery of Photo & Graphic Designer, such as cards and invitations, newsletters, flyers, letterheads and much more, alongside the clipart and photos. This month we’re giving away some free Christmas clipart which includes a Santa card (so long as you are connected to the internet, you should see a new folder in the V6 Designs Gallery called Xmas [download] with your free clipart, even if you are running the trial) so it seemed like a good moment for a tutorial on customizing the card templates. To find the standard set of card templates, simply open the Designs Gallery and you will see a folder called ‘Greetings Card and Invitations’ which includes a selection of card templates. All the templates are different, some cards include photos that can be changed, most have editable colors and editable text. Below you will find a quick run through of how to edit the customizable parts the cards, which more or less apply equally to all other templates in the Gallery. To change the text: In the Text Tool, simply click on the text and edit as required. To change the font, drag select the region of text, and select from the font drop-down menu on the InfoBar. To change colors: To edit the colors, open the Color Editor by clicking the icon at the left end of the color line under your document. Then drag one of the Theme color patches from the color line at the bottom of the screen onto the Color Editor. There will usually be one or more named Theme colors in the color line (hover the mouse over the color line to see the tooltip showing the color names). Sometimes there will be several colors linked to a Theme color that will change at the same time. This shows the same theme but how the colors can be changed to create a new look.
