thinking outside the box Art Mix 8 INSPIRATIONAL ART
Page created with Xara Designer Pro X10
We’re going to leave aside themes again for a few months, and set ourselves the challenge of bringing you as diverse a selection of styles and subjects as we can root out from the Xara Xone and TalkGraphics. This month we have the work of four designers, three that you will have seen before in Inspirational Art or in the Xara Gallery, and one newcomer (in the interest of diversity we’ve also picked designers working in 4 different countries and images posted in 4 different years!)
Rafał Danhoffer (Rafal on TalkGraphics) We loved this first post on TalkGraphics from Rafał, a professional designer based in Poland using Xara Photo & Graphic Designer. Check out the thread, it includes a second T Shirt design -  and if you search on TalkGraphics you’ll see some other great examples of Rafał’s work.
Graham Ward (Gray on TalkGraphics) Another classic from the master of plane illustrators, Graham Ward. This is a Martin XB51 and like many of Grahams’ images the background uses bitmaps but the aircraft is pure vector work created in Xara Photo & Graphic Designer. You can see the original post on TalkGraphics here. You can also see more of Graham’s work in the Xara Gallery, and if flying machines are your thing check out the August and September 2012 issues of Inspirational Art (select from the drop down list at the top of this page).
Luca Pennisi (Lupen on TalkGraphics) Perhaps surprisingly skulls are quite a popular theme (check out Derek Cooper’s example in the January 2014 issue of Inspirational Art - and I have three more on my list waiting for their moment!). The tricky 3D look is part of the challenge that Luca has mastered, you can see his post in this TalkGraphics thread and you can see more work by Luca in the Xara Gallery.
Paul Saumure We set out to bring you a contrasting set of styles and themes this month, and we thought we could finish it off nicely with this sword from Paul Saumure’s selection as Featured Artist on the Xara Xone (follow the link to see his full selection).
That’s it for this month. If you have enjoyed these images then all Likes, Shares, +1s, re-tweets etc are most welcome.
