Here are two designers using Xara in very contrasting and distinctive ways, but with equally impressive results. Aiyanne Chan is a young UK based artist who specializes in vector illustration in the anime or kawaii style. She made her Inspirational Art debut last year, and noticing how popular that issue was we decided to catch up with her Behance portfolio and see what’s new. Michael Tumey is a professional fantasy cartographer - that is he creates fictional maps for games and novels. TalkGraphics members might well remember his epic 422 post thread, still holding the TalkGraphics record with 182,000 views! (nb some of the maps in that thread include 3D elements created in other products).  The maps often include elements that are hand drawn and then scanned and imported into Photo & Graphic Designer for further work, typically adding colors, shadows, bevels or other special effects. Dark Nightingale is from Nightingale Zeitgeist (there is an opposing Light Nightingale), characters from Aiyanne’s fictional fairyland species The Zeitgeist. . Red Rose Cardinal  is from Cardinal Zeitgeists - there is a complementary White Rose. And Sapphire is one of a pair of characters from Phoenix-Zeitgeists..
