Cartoon art seems to be enjoying great popularity amongst Xara users at the moment, while great car illustrations just go on and on. Here’s two
images to prove my point, from Tomáš Kopecký and Ron Duke, along with one of those ‘how did he do that’ images from Valery Kouleshov.
Tomáš Kopecký (flyboj on TalkGraphics)
Tomas made his first appearance in Inspirational Art in August 2014 (you can view back issues from the drop down at the top right of this page),
and here’s another cracking example from this talented cartoonist. This particular image was created for an educational adventure game - you
can see 3 more from the game in his Behance portfolio.
Ron Duke
There are many artists creating car illustrations with Xara software, and a good proportion of them will tell you that they were first inspired to
try it by Ron Duke. Ron is still going strong, as this post from a couple of weeks ago in TalkGraphics proves (1967 El Camino SS). You can see
many more by browsing in TalkGraphics or Inspirational Art of by viewing Ron’s selection in the Xara Art Gallery.
Valery Kouleshov (RUSS - USSR on TalkGraphics)
Valery created this using the envelope tool, and if you’re wondering how then you can find an answer in #7 of this TalkGraphics thread (in the
same thread he also links out to two other unconnected but interesting tutorial movies that he’s created for his students). Valery has created
some of the most memorable Xara images we ever likely to see - you can check out four of them now in the Xara Art Galley.
That’s it for this month. If you have enjoyed these images then all Likes, Shares, +1s, re-tweets etc are most welcome!
